Jennifer Maxwell, Tom Maxwell, and Bryan Mosher. Their mission is to equip clinicians with world-class analytics to ensure every hospice patient transitions with unparalleled quality and dignity. Muse's predictive model considers hundreds of thousands of data points from numerous visits to identify which hospice patients are most likely to transition within 7-12 days. The science that powers Muse is considered a true deep learning neural network – the only one of its kind in the hospice space. When hospice care providers can more accurately predict when their patients will transition, they can ensure their patients and the patients' families receive the care that matters most in the final days and hours of a patient's life. 

Position Summary 

We’re adding a Business Development Manager (BDM) position to our dynamic and fast-growing team. As a member of the Sales and Account Management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Muse Healthcare’s commitment to outstanding products, customer service and company expansion in the marketplace. In this role you will analyze business information, be responsible for developing return on investment (ROI) financial models with visibility into the pipeline, forecasting, discounting, pipeline acceleration and sales productivity, as well as sales management tracking and reporting. You will thrive in both independent and team environments, possess outstanding communication skills, and be well versed in developing relationships with prospects of various backgrounds and personalities. 

 

The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Board. Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Gain a strong understanding of both industry and product knowledge.
     

  • Demonstrate expertise in core systems related to sales operations and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of current processes and workflow. 
     

  • Support the development of sales and operations strategy, understand priorities and execute operational plans.
     

  • Help in the identification and assessment of sales automation tools and deployment of technologies to be used by sales to increase efficiency and effectiveness in sales operations and sales generation.
     

  • Develop and maintain sales analytics reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision making for the sales and executive teams.
     

  • Participate in sales team meetings to support the needs of sales leadership and sale executives while reinforcing the use of assets and tools rolled out to the field.
     

  • Engage and drive continuous quality improvement through process redesign and operational excellence of best practice implementation.
     

  • Assist with implementation of new processes and support organization and management of necessary documents.
     

  • Qualify prospective customer leads using phone, email and LinkedIn to hit quotas for monthly lead generating and closures.
     

  • Develop effective presentation materials that communicate the value and benefits of Muse Healthcare to prospects.
     

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 + Years  of previous sales experience.
     

  • College degree (BA/BS)
     

  • Experience selling either in healthcare or technology fields.
     

  • You possess intellectual curiosity; enjoy learning new business models, unfamiliar tools, new approaches.
     

  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills; skilled in translating ideas into clear messaging that is understood by the intended audience.
     

  • You are proficient in data analysis, reporting, and data manipulation.
     

  • You have the ability to recognize patterns and create an appropriate analytical framework without excess complexity.
     

  • You have advanced MS Excel skills.
     

  • You are able to combine operational and financial data to create meaningful business insights.
     

  • Ability to navigate objections and be consistent with follow-up activity.
     

  • Ability to creatively develop leads and prospects.
     

  • Understanding and relating to a prospect’s situation, needs, challenges, and pains.
     

  • Strong communication skills, both written and over the phone.
     

  • Highly organized; strong time management skills.
     

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with minimal direction.
     

  • A competitive attitude and a drive to exceed all expectations.
     

  • Ability to maintain accurate document in a web-based CRM (Smart Sheets).
